The AthleteApp app
The information about the AthleteApp app (features, roles, prices and plans) shown on the Site is for guidance only and may be changed or updated at any time. The app is downloaded and used through the corresponding app stores (App Store and Google Play) and is subject both to the terms of those platforms and to the app’s own terms and privacy policy.
Use of artificial intelligence
The AthleteApp app includes a single artificial intelligence (AI) component: the pose detection engine behind the biomechanical analysis. The rest of the calculations the app offers are deterministic algorithms—published formulas and scoring tables—and are not AI systems. We detail them below:
- On-device biomechanical analysis (AI). Pose detection runs entirely on the user’s own device using a computer vision model. The videos analyzed are not transmitted to any external server. The model locates the joint points and calculates angles; the technical interpretation always lies with the coach or the user, with no automatic diagnosis or assessment.
- Biomotor radar and performance scores. The biomotor profile, the performance points and the comparisons against reference tables (such as those of World Athletics) are obtained with fixed formulas that process the training and competition data recorded by the user. No AI models are involved.
- Maturation estimate and training guidelines. The maturation stage is estimated with equations published in the scientific literature, and the focus guidelines associated with each stage are fixed editorial content, written beforehand from reference models in youth athlete development. No text or recommendations are generated automatically.
Separately from the above, part of the audio and visual material in the app and on this website (voice prompts in the training tools and illustrative images) was produced with generative AI tools. It is illustrative and functional material: it does not depict real people or document real events.
Both the results of the biomechanical analysis and the calculations and estimates described are for guidance only and do not constitute medical, clinical or professional training advice. It is for the user and, where applicable, the coach or responsible professional to assess and decide whether to apply any guideline. AthleteApp does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of these results for any specific purpose.
The AI system built into the app has been designed in line with the principles of transparency, safety and respect for users’ rights set out in Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council on artificial intelligence (the EU AI Act), as amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, and with the legislation applicable at any given time.
Third-party links
The Site may include links to third-party sites or services (for example, the App Store or Google Play). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, terms or privacy policies of those third parties. You access those sites at your own risk.
Disclaimer of warranties and liability
The Site is provided “as is”. Although we work to keep it available, up to date and free of errors, we do not guarantee the absence of interruptions, faults or inaccuracies. To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any damage or loss arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Site, from errors in its content or from the transmission of harmful elements, without prejudice to the rights that consumer law grants to users.
Service availability
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Site or any of its sections, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice and without this giving rise to any right to compensation.
Data protection
The processing of the personal data collected through the Site is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Dispute resolution
Before going to court, we ask you to bring any complaint or dispute to us by writing to hello@athleteapp.io. We will try to resolve it amicably and as quickly as possible.
Consumer users
If you use the Site or the app as a consumer, you have the right to turn to alternative dispute resolution schemes for consumer matters. In particular, you may propose that we submit the dispute to the Spanish Consumer Arbitration System (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo), which is voluntary for both parties and which we may join in order to resolve your complaint. These provisions do not in any case deprive you of your right to go to the courts that correspond to you or of the other rights that consumer law grants you.
Professional users
Where the user is a company, club, federation or other entity acting in the course of its professional or business activity—that is, not as a consumer—the parties may agree to submit any dispute arising from these Terms to arbitration at law, administered by an arbitral institution of recognized standing based in Spain, in accordance with Spanish Law 60/2003 of 23 December on Arbitration. Failing such an agreement, the provisions of the “Governing law and jurisdiction” section will apply.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. To resolve any dispute arising from access to or use of the Site, the parties submit to the courts that have jurisdiction under the applicable rules, respecting in all cases the jurisdiction that corresponds to consumer users.

We may change these Terms at any time. The current version will be the one published on this page, stating the date of its last update. We recommend that you review them each time you access the Site.
